Our classic 320 thread count cotton satin (or 'Sateen') is super fine and silky, woven in a slightly more complex fashion than our crisp percales. This particular weave results in sheeting with a wonderfully silky feel and distinct sheen. While that sheen will naturally lessen with use and washes, the sheets themselves will only become softer and softer over time. *Pro tip: set the fibres of your cotton satin sheets with a first wash in cold water.

The duvet cover itself is well made and the sizing is perfect — no complaints there. However, I’m a bit disappointed with the sateen cotton (320 thread count) in white. It’s quite shiny and stiff, not the soft, cozy feel I was hoping for at this price point.

I understand cotton like this typically softens with washing and time, but I’m not sure how much improvement to expect. For a product in this price range, I was expecting a softer feel right out of the packaging.

While I'm sorry to hear that the feel wasn't what you were expecting straight out of the package, I'm very pleased to say that our sateen sheeting will soften and relax considerably with use and laundering, developing a beautifully soft, supple hand over time.

Many sheets on the market are finished to feel more 'worked-in' immediately, often through pre-washing or other finishing processes, which can shorten the fabric's lifespan. We prefer to let our cotton age naturally, allowing it to become softer with every wash while maintaining the durability and longevity it's known for. Stay the course and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how beautifully it transforms over time :)

Beautiful texture quality and finishing. All items are generously cut, resulting in a very large, deep fitted sheet, flat sheet and very large pillowcases (i.e. in my instance, excess material despite Queen sizing).

The good news is that the generous sizing you've noticed is actually quite intentional. Because our sheeting is not pre-washed or treated, we do cut it oversized to accommodate the inevitable shrinkage of 100% cotton. This allows the bedding to settle into a more snug fit with regular use and laundering (importantly, without shrinking too small on you!). Stay the course and you should notice a gradually more tailored fit over the coming months :)

Excellent Quality Very Large Pillowcases

The quality of the linens is excellent. I found the pillowcases are overly large for my standard size pillows (I ordered the standard/queen size), so much that I think I will need to "shorten" them with a simple seam. Or buy new pillows? And, I discovered I prefer the feel of the percale pillowcases over the cotton sateen. Others may feel differently though.

Not so smooth and too large

I have a 12 inch mattress and I purchased the bottom sheet for a 12 inch mattress expecting it to fit on my king size bed but the sheet is too large (they add another 4 inches). As a result, the sheet moves and bunches up every night (we pull it flat and tuck it under the mattress every day). Also, the sheet is not as smooth as I think it should be for the price.
